About Mike Lewis
Mike Lewis is the leading developer of alternative fuel vehicle fuel stations in California. Mike was the Project Manager for the Regional Transportation Center in San Diego, CA., the nation’s first Alternative Fuel Vehicle Center. The Center opened in 2003 and featured an alternative fuel station named Pearson Fuels, a new car showroom for alternative fuel vehicles, a repair and conversion shop for the vehicles and an Eco Center.
The Associated Press labels Pearson Fuels, “The Fuel Station of the Future”. This futuristic retail gas station is the first place on earth to offer nine different fuels to the public. It features Southern California’s first Biodiesel station, the largest electric vehicle charging facility and the first duel pressure natural gas fueling dispenser. Pearson Fuels also is the location for the first ethanol dispenser on the west coast of the United States. As the General Manager of Pearson Fuels, Mike Lewis is opening ethanol-fueling dispensers around the state of California at a rate of almost one per month.
Mike has a broad background in the automotive and alternative fuel industries. He spent several years with Ford Motor Company and is the current Chair of the San Diego Environmental Foundation dedicated to educating the next generation about renewable fuels, renewable energy and energy. He is a former Board Member of the San Diego Regional Clean Fuels Coalition, a member of Rotary International and American Mensa. He is married with two children and lives in San Diego, California.
